This rack mount was designed for the IC-7100 Control Head & radio special detached model with RJ45
This auction is for ONE NEW professional 3U sized (5.25") rack mount with SPEAKER, designed for the IC-7100 HF transceiver with RJ45 mike extension and speaker. The control head bolts up on the tray to protrude through the panel on a "Z" bracket with a 1/4"X 20 single bolt mount. The radio body is secured by L-brackets. The RJ45 plug goes in behind the panel and plugs into the head, the radio body is bolted to the tray using the factory-supplied mounting bracket. This is a very unique mounting due to head design.The microphone is held to the panel using the modern Public Safety rated Magnetic Microphone Clip (shown in the image at the right side) and you convert the Icom mike hanger over by drilling one hole in the back of the mike to accommodate it. See the image on what it looks like; this is a great upgrade!With the speaker on the front panel and space on the right; this leaves room for a 30 amp optional power supply that we can mount to the tray for an extra 0 which is less than half the factory power supply cost. Just ASK!
We can even engrave panels to-order; naturally this isn't included; that photo is just showing off our capabilities but you get the idea...Novexcomm does it all.
Since most radios have build in speakers, so not much audio is heard once the radio is installed in a rack enclosure, THIS UNIT HAS A PANEL MOUNTED SPEAKER. You may also   want to consider our 2, 4 or 6 Speaker Panel.

This rack was designed for static installations and portable case "Go Box" use as well based on your using the mobile mounting bracket.
The control head fits to the front using that Icom really strange Z bracket to tilt the head just right; please talk to us so you really get a good understanding of how that thing is going to work.
