This auction is for ONE new rack mount with speaker, designed to work with the Icom R7000 or R85000.
R70, R71A, 740, 745, 271, 471, 1271 and other radios of similar physical size can also be done this way
(Icom used the same cabinet shell for a number of radios). Radio image is only to show you how it will look AND is not included in this auction.
These rack mounts were originally designed for and many have been sold to the US Government, NSA, FBI, Army, Air Force, and several other organizations and agencies.
Once a radio is in a rack cabinet there is very little sound from a side-mounted or top-mounted internal speaker so you will need some sort of external speaker. Should you need it we also offer speaker rack panels with 2, 3, 4 or 6 speakers, each with a cord terminated in a 1/8 inch / 3.5mm plug. The speaker simply plugs into the external speaker jack on the radio.
This rack mount has a radio cutout of 11.33" x 4.44" (287.78 mm x 112.77). This rack panel is 3 Rack Units in height (5.25 inches, 13.32 cm) by 19 inches wide (EIA Standard rack panel width) - also available (on special order) in 23 inch width (or any other width).  If  you need a custom size we can do it, please ask!
The PANEL can be mounted to the TRAY at the corners using our custom corner brackets (optional, see photo).
The radio opening is 11.25 inches wide by 4.375 inches high.  If you have any questions or doubts then please email us or CALL us first with any questions and we will help you make it work your way!
The rack tray is available in either steel or aluminum.  Steel is stronger, aluminum is lighter weight.
This rack mount was designed for static installations and should have rear support when used in a "Go-box" or other portable / mobile situation.
You can order an optional 15, 20 or 30 Amp power supply. A receive-only radio can use the 15 Amp supply, you can go to the larger supply if you want to power other 12 volt items in your rack or Go-Box.  Each supply comes pre-mounted complete with a line cord, strain relief.  The 15 and 20 amp supplies are 110-120v only. The 30 amp supply is switchable between 110-220 volts so it works just fine on worldwide power sources.
