REPLACES FMDA SAFETY:
DESCRIPTION:
This kit replaces the old FMDA Safety Valves that are found on many older Franklin Ovens with Pilot In/Out.
The old FMDA Safeties are no longer manufactured because they contain Mercury.
This replacement kit consists of a Robert Shaw
'J' Type-
Magnetic Safety and Gas Carrier
, a special
'Brass Adaptor'
so it will match up exactly with the old FMDA valve, and a new 48" thermocouple (
Flame Sensor
). We also have 60" & 72" thermocouples available if needed.
NOTE:
We install the brass adaptor in our shop prior to shipping. This allows for proper alignment of the button when installed. This is not something you want to do in the field.
The Robert Shaw Safety is a
'J' Type, Gas In/Out: 3/8" NPT,
Pilot In/Out:
1/8" NPT, with adaptors if needed for 1/4" and 3/16" pilots.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR FRANKLIN OWNERS:
Some Ovens have a Pilot Assembly with a built in thermocouple (Flame Sensor). IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE THAT FLAME SENSOR, YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE PILOT ASSEMBLY. WE ALSO HAVE THOSE AVAILABLE AT A REASONABLE PRICE.
