    Description

You are bidding on a small Louisville & Nashville Railroad folder providing a
    War Map of the L&N
    .
When opened, one six-panel side of this item presents a 6” x 9” map of the L&N and its connections showing the location of all the Civil War battles in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.
The reverse side lists the battle locations and dates with a numbered index identifying the more important battle locations on the map.
In other words, all battles are listed and marked by red dots but only the 107 major ones show numbers.
One panel advertises the L&N as the “Trunk Line of the South.”
One text line touts the L&N’s “special low rates for excursions from Louisville to Mammoth Cave and the battlefields . . . “
I don’t see a printing date but I believe this item dates to the mid-1890s.
The two folds at the top of the map show a 3” separation.
The folder also shows some overall wear and heavier soil on the covers.
Still, considering its 125-year age, this item is in good condition (see scans).
Shipping is FREE in the U.S. . . . and check out my other eBay railroad auction items.
    Thanks for looking!
    Praise God!
