Message    These tips are for 1" webbing, exactly as described. You insert the 1" webbing into the ball tip and flatten with progressive hammer blows or an arbor press. Did you read the description? You were sent exactly what was described. It is not my responsibility to educate you beyond giving an accurate description and sending the item described.

Message    Please review again. You sent 3/8 " tips not 1". Please look at photo . It shows both sizes and the package I received from you. They are clearly 5/8 and not 1 ". I took the photo from the ATF website. The 1 inch webbing will absolutely not fit in what you sent me

Message              Well, I hate to break this to you, but Ball Tips are described by the size of the web strap that they finish. A 5/8 Ball tip, will flatten to 5/8" to tip a 5/8" web strap. A 1" Ball Tip will flatten to 1" to tip a 1" web strap. A 1 1/2" Ball Tip will flatten to 1 1/2" to tip a 1 1/2" strap. This isn't something I made up, this is the industry standard dating back to the early 20th century. Your pic with the tape measure clearly shows that I sent you 1" Ball Tips (they are appx 1/2" in diameter before they are flattened. The larger tip in your photo, based on the scale of the tape measure, appears to be a 1 1/2" Ball Tip for 1 1/2" webbing. You were sent, and received (as shown by your pictures), exactly what was described and exactly what you paid for. These will tip a 1" web strap when flattened, just as the description notes. Exactly what size web strap are you trying to tip?

Message    I don't agree. Check out the ball tips on ATF website .That is the pic I sent you. They are listed as 2 sizes - 1 inch and 5/8 inch. There is no question you sent me 5/8 inch tips. To answer your question I have 1 inch webbing I want to tip. The tips you sent will not go over the end of a 1 inch webbing. I don't understand the problem. Do you have the bigger size tips or not.?

Message  I just looked at Rollin's site (ATF ). What scale is the picture? What did you Scale it to? His ad is for 1" and 5/8" Ball Tips, as shown in the picture. Without knowing the scale of the picture, your comparison to what was sent you is arbitrary conjecture on your part. I really don't care if you agree with me or not. The fact remains, that a 1" Ball Tip, measuring about a 1/2" in diameter in it's raw state, will flatten to two parallel 1" legs when compressed onto the webbing. Simple physics dictates that a cylindrical shape, when compressed, will flatten to 2 longer legs. You have no clue how these are used. The webbing needs to be formed into a "U" shape, then inserted into the body of the tip. As the cylindrical tip is compressed to seal the end of the webbing, the shape will change to a flat object, perfectly forming a finished end on your web strap. I have been involved in the Military Canvas and Webbing contracting business for nearly 30 years. We have used, and sold millions of these tips. There is nothing you can teach me about Mil Spec webbing and hardware. Disagree all you want. I am trying to educate you while you insist on a closed minded argument. You can send them back for a refund. I will not be robbed of the shipping charges based on your lack of knowledge of the product. You were sent, and received, as evidenced by your own photos, exactly what was described and exactly what was purchased. When these are returned, at your expense, I will refund the purchase price of , then you can order from Rollin;  he likes drama.
