Advertising signs are not easily found and they are super nice to display with your Pennsbury Pottery collection.
The Pennsbury Pottery Company (1950 - 1969)
Pennsbury Pottery was founded in 1950 near Morrisville, Pennsylvania by Henry Below. Both Henry and his wife Lee had spent numerous years working for Stangl before striking out on their own. The focus of the pottery was hand decorated dinnerware and decorative item such as lamps, plaques, teapots, figures, and vases. Popular
subjects for the decorations were Pennsylvania Dutch themes, Amish couples and barbershop singers. Most of the items produced were backstamped with the "Pennsbury Pottery" logo. This permits collectors to identify many of the items easily. The company closed in late 1969 and the buildings burned to the ground in 1971.
