A nice 4 daler piece of Swedish Plate Money, dated 174 -, from the Danish
ship
Nicobar, which sank off the coast of Africa in 1783.  Discovered in 1987, after resting on the ocean bottom for over two centuries, about 3000 pieces of ½, 1, 2 and 4 daler pieces were recovered.  This is one of the nicer pieces.
This is a real
piece
of sunken treasure.
