VINTAGE MARSHALL-WELLS ZENITH BOYS AXE HEAD IN GREAT SHAPE w/ AWESOME LOGO !!!

Beautiful MARSHALL-WELLS ZENITH boy's axe head.  Marshall-Wells was the largest catalog seller in the United States at the turn of 1899-1900.  They were located in Duluth, Minnesota- also known as the Zenith city.  My research shows this logo was used from about 1920-on.  The Zenith brand was the Cadillac of their hand tools- a sign of the highest quality available.  This head is 6-1/4" long; edge is 3-5/8"; poll is 1" x 2-1/4" and slightly mushroomed; eye is 5/8" x 2"; weighs only 2 lbs. 4 oz.  I removed this from a 27" handle.  Edge is sharp but expect to sharpen to your own standard before using.  This is one of the nicer axe heads I have sold in the last few years.  Fresh from a Marquette, Michigan estate sale.  Please look closely at all of the photos and ask questions early.  PayPal within 2 days.  Priority mail shipping anywhere in the USA.  All others please ask before bidding- International shipping is expensive and slow.  I do not charge a packing or handling fee.  Thanks for looking!
