Metrax specializes in recreating the 14th and 15th century weaving style of the Flemish.
This tapestry "The Organ" was purchased abroad by my parents sometime in the late1960s.
It has always hung in an office/den that didn't get much sunlight.
The spectacular array of colors and the workmanship are truly beautiful!
This tapestry is in a Millefiori (Italian for "thousand flowers") pattern.
It features a Medieval/Renaissance family against a verdant background of flora and fauna and birds.
Made of 80% wool and 20% cotton.
It is entirely backed in a medium-brown cotton fabric and has a channel at the top back for a dowel rod.
The tapestry will hang perfectly from an unseen dowel rod that slides through the fabric channel on the top back.

65" L x 49" W
Channel - 4.5"-5" W x 63" L
The tapestry is slightly slanted in the photos because it's laying on the floor and not hanging on a wall.
It is an exact rectangular shape when it hangs on the wall.
