VTG WATT POTTERY APPLE 3 LEAF BOWL #8 with AD for HARR IMPL. CO. LAKE ANDES, SDVTG WATT POTTERY APPLE 3 LEAF BOWL #8 with AD for HARR IMPL. CO. LAKE ANDES, SD
This Vintage Hand Painted Apple Pattern 3 Leaf Stoneware Mixing Bowl with Lip and Shoulder #8 has an ink stamped Ad for HARR IMPL. CO. LAKE ANDES, S.D. on the inside of the bowl, and it was made by The Watt Pottery Company of Crooksville, Ohio. Watt's Pottery Company opened in 1922, and this pattern was first introduced in 1952. Its referred to as a Apple Pattern 3 Leaf No. 2 I believe refers to the fact that the 1st apple pattern only had 2 leaves. The #8 is part of the mark on the base which refers to its size - 8 1/8” across the outside edge of the 1/4” thick rim. when extends over the outside of the bowl 3/8” and then there is a 3/4” slightly raised ring, hence the Lip and Shoulder reference. Its 4” tall and 4” across the unglazed and slightly raised base with the mold stamp mark, and its remarkably good condition, no chips, cracks, or even any crazing of the glaze, as if it had not been used much but rather set on the shelf as part of someone’s collection. I have many other unique Antique and Vintage Collectible items listed on Ebay right now including other Antique and Vintage Pottery for your Kitchen, so please be sure to check them all out.
A Message to all my Valued Ebay Followers: I wanted to assure any who are considering making a purchase with me, at this time I am healthy and sheltered in place and at very low risk of exposure. I hope and trust we will all choose to be safe and smart so that we not only protect ourselves but those we love and care for, or those who we don't know but who love and care for someone else - we are all connected somehow.
