Description

Vintage WATT yellow ovenware; this piece was called an "open baker."  The apple pattern was one of WATT's most popular and this bowl has the special 3 leaf design.  The bottom is marked WATT  7  USA  OVEN WARE.  The ribbed bowl is 6-7/8" across the top, 4-1/2" across the bottom, and is 4-1/4" high.
The Watt Pottery Co in Crooksville, Ohio opened in 1922 and was destroyed in a fire in 1965.  The company introduced oven to table in the late 1940's and began hand painting in 1949.  This dates the bowl to being manufactured between the 1940's to the 1960's.
Despite the age, this bowl is in excellent condition with no cracks, crazing, and only a few ever-so-tiny chips on the rim (so tiny, it was impossible to photograph).
